The article is last edited on 27.04.2011

Where is it situated

The archaeological complex of Perperikon is situated in the Eastern Rhodopes, 19 km to the north-east of Kardzhali town, close to Gorna krepost village. If you come from the north, in Chernoochene (en route from Haskovo to Kardzhali) head east towards Pryapovets, Draganovo, Tri mogili and Stremovo villages. There is a crossing a kilometre after the last one; turn on the right there. Another crossing comes in a while; this time turn on the left. Pass the village of Gorna krepost. The turn toward Perperikon is 1.5 km to the south of it.
