Bezbozhkoto Ezero (Bezbozhko Lake) is a glacial lake situated at an altitude of 2,239 meters in the Bezboj Cirque, Northern Pirin. The lake is approximately 225 meters long and 125 meters wide. It drains into the Bezboj River, a right tributary of the Mesta River. On its western shore lie the ruins of the old Bezbog Hut, which was destroyed by an avalanche in 1971. The new hut, built afterward, is located about 50 meters north of Bezbozhko Lake.
The easiest way to reach Bezbozhko Lake is by taking the chairlift from Gotse Delchev Hut, from whose upper station the lake is less than a 5-minute walk away. The winter operating hours of the lift are from 08:30 to 16:15 (last ascent from Gotse Delchev Hut at 15:45, last descent from Bezbog Hut at 16:15). The summer operating hours are from 08:30 to 17:00 (last ascent from Bezbog Hut at 16:45). When the lift is not in operation, hiking along the marked tourist trail connecting Gotse Delchev Hut and Bezbog Hut (marked with green signs) takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. Entering Pirin National Park by car or any other motorized vehicle is not permitted, which answers the frequently asked question: "Can I drive to Bezbog?" Instead, park your car at the free parking lot near the lower lift station and enjoy a hike to the top. The forest belt is also interesting, making the climb worthwhile. If you are not traveling by car, you can reach Gotse Delchev Hut from Dobrinishte by taxi or on foot—the distance is about 11 km.
