The village of Dolen is located in the Western Rhodopes, 27 km to the east of the town of Gotse Delchev. To get there, follow the main road between Gotse Delchev and the town of Dospat. 8 km before the town of Sarnitsa there is a turning to the north, which will take you to the village. Pass by its modern part and from the square next to the school go right and down. Once you get to the small open area after the first few old houses, better leave your car there. The streets in the old part of the village are narrow, steep, with sharp curves and covered with cobblestones so going further by car isn't a particularly good idea.
