The village of Osenovo is built on the most western slopes of the Rhodope mountains. It has a number of well preserved old houses and to a great extent has preserved the traditional look of a Bulgarian village from the begging of the 20th century. Not far from the village is Svatbata (The wedding) natural monument, which represents an interestingly shaped rock formation. It is located between Osenovo and the village of Filipovo.
Osenovo village is situated in the Western Rhodopes, 29 km on the south-east of Bansko. You reach it by turning aside from the road Bansko- Gotse Delchev in Mesta village in the direction of Filipovo.
