Kyoravitsa Peak

Kyoravitsa (2612 m above sea level) is a peak in the Rilets section of Central Rila. It rises at the beginning of the Kyoravitsa ridge, north of Mermerski Preslap. The peak is covered with dwarf pine, and its summit consists of a pile of large rock formations. The trail from Ribni Ezera Hut to Rila Monastery along the Rilets Ridge passes over this peak.

The easiest way to reach the summit is from Ribni Ezera Hut by following the red trail markings toward Macedonia Hut. A relatively steep ascent will take you to the saddle between Malak Mermer and Kyoravitsa. At this point, the red markings continue southeast, making a sharp left turn, while an unmarked path to the right leads to the summit in about 10 minutes.
